It is on August 4, 1969 that FPOP was formed, through the merging of two seperate and dynamical organization namely: the Planned Parenthood Movemement of the Philippines and the Family Planning Association of the Philippines (FPAP).
Through the efforts of its founder; Dr. Jose Catindig (PPMP) and Dr. Gregoria Lim (FPAP) and many leaders, volunteers and staff who came after them, FPOP has emerged to become the leading reproductive health care services provider and RH right advocate that is it today.
